How Much Does Plastic Injection Molding Cost?

There are several factors that will influence the cost of your custom injection molding project. They can include:

  • Output quantity: A larger quantity of parts typically leads to a lower per-unit cost. However, our team at Tamarack is glad to work with you on small orders or even single parts.
  • Complexity: Pricing is also determined by the intricacy or simplicity of the part. For example, a simple part that requires a single molding cavity is usually less expensive than a more complex part that requires lifters, slides, or hot runners.
  • Size: Another cost factor is the overall footprint of the part. Smaller parts typically have shorter cycle times and use less material, so they cost less than larger parts that require more material.

Why Choose Tamarack?

In addition to our excellent customer service and local connection, Tamarack Industries is also a great choice because of our commitment to the environment. We take our name from the Tamarack tree, which self-regenerates each year and can live for generations.

At Tamarack, we work hard to use recycled materials wherever possible. We utilize an array of plastic types in our production process, including HDPE, PP, ABS, nylon, and acetyl. The plastics we use take less energy to produce than other materials and have lower emissions. Furthermore, your custom injection molded parts will be produced in nearby Washington state, which further lowers our carbon footprint.
